About me
Born and raised in Germany, I lived in Ireland for several years before coming to the US and then moved to the DC/Northern Virginia area from Los Angeles, CA a few years ago.
I have over 20 years of extensive experience in the travel and tourism industry and my love of travel has taken me to fabulous places around the world including Spain, Northern & Central Europe, Greek Isles, Indonesia, Bali and many many more.
A few years ago, I took a 3-month trip through South East Asia (Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Cambodia) and also learnt to scuba dive!
Really, I lost my heart there and have been back quite a few times since. One of my most recent trips to Asia took me back to Singapore as well as Malaysian Borneo and it was just an incredible adventure!
I do have 2 young sons and absolutely understand the certain (and very different) needs when traveling as a family.
All of my travels and trainings will give you recommendations based on a lot of first hand experiences from around the globe – this could be:
a sunset wine tasting on Santorini,
a private tour guide at the Alhambra in Granada/Spain
seeing the feeding at the Orangutan Rehabilitation Center in Sepilok/Malaysian Borneo
taking the cog train up to Muerren in Switzerland
taking a helicopter over the Great Barrier Reef and the Heart Reef with a Champagne Landing on Whitehaven Beach in Australia
experiencing Sangkran (the waterfestival) in Thailand
hiking between the 5 towns of Cinque Terre
hearing glaciers crash into the water at Glacier Bay National Park in Alaska
getting spoilt at a luxury resort while being told “I am not here to spoil your lunch but to spoil you”
being amazed by the colorful marine life on a dive in the Maldives
have a picnic under the iconic Eiffeltower in Paris
or watching your little one laugh for joy in the splash pad onboard a Royal Caribbean Ship.
I could go on and on about how many memories I was able to make and that I would love to share with you.
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do.
So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor.
Catch the trade winds in your sails.
Explore. Dream. Discover.”
